Thanks a lot for this excellent review witch is much more interessant than the classical comparison's review ISO & and other Nikon vs Canon.

I would like to have your opinion about 3 points. Today 1DIII and 5DII are the same price, and i want to change my body (40D).

1) What do you think about AF central precision 1DIII (not Ds) vs 5DII in Oneshot.
Just precision.

2) What do you about RAW post-processing at moderate ISO (<=1600) between 1DIII vs 5DII.

3) And what about image quality at low ISO (<=400) ?

I am asking myself about the more polyvalent body...

Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot for this interesting and detailed review - diary - of the 5D2. I concur that being the second best of both worlds makes the camera clearly the winner. I did not quite understand Mike J.'s viewpoint which I assume you're alluding to. Now, much as I understand Marcel Reichman is taking all three FF models on an Antarctica trip - it will be interesting to read what his conclusions will be.
