Meka and Puppies
In the summer of 2009, Meka, a female American Pit Bull, was rescued from her abusive owners. Shortly after she had three puppies – deKaf and Kahlua, two girls, and Kona, a boy.
These puppies are in the love and care of a foster working for Animals First Foundation, a Seattle (WA) based charity.
I spent two hours with these wonderful animals on Saturday 29th August 2009. Meka is an absolutely wonderful dog. She's suffered many horrible hardships, but her capacity for forgiveness has far outstripped this and she is incredibly friendly, gentle, and a wonderful mother. She is great with dogs & people. Her pups are ridiculously cute as the photos attest to. With the right attention, I'm excited about their prospects for a wonderful life.
The three pups are looking for new homes. Appreciate forwarding to anyone you think may be of help. Those interesting in adopting can email info@animalsfirstfoundation.org or visit the website http://www.animalsfirstfoundation.org
You can see a couple of pictures below. The rest are posted on my flickr gallery.
