Sora
Posts within the “The Life of Sora” category on this blog (or using the “Sora” keyworkd) will be entries about an amazing dog, Sora.
Sora (pronounced “Sola” which means Sky in Japanese) became part of our family on Saturday 19th 2009.
Previously named “Upward” Sora was driven 3,000 miles from S.Carolina to us and arrived this morning. He was saved by a wonderful rescue shelter called Noah’s Ark after he was left to die from a horrific attack. Sora is blind. He lost his sight after someone put a shotgun full of bird shot to his face and pulled the trigger.
You can read a bit more about his story here www.noahs-arks.net/RESCUE/UPWARD.html (there are many other dogs / animals who continue to need assistanc)
Soar’s first day has gone v well so far. He’s already offleash in the house and able to make his way around (albiet v slowly). It’s inspiring and humbling at the same time. Rio and him are getting on well so far – v fun to see Sora to play with him. He is such a sweet dog.
Today, Sora began his new life with us – this time the only emotion we want him to experience is love. Thank you Jennifer and Joanne – you’re amazing. Check back here for many more updates about Sora.
