First visit to the vet… went well and things generally look ok so far. We took some blood for some general tests and are waiting to hear back on some other results for things he might have picked up from the time he was on the street. He’s clearly underweight (you can see this from the previous pictures) but we’re confident he’ll fill out quickly. Considering what he’s been through though he seems to be pretty healthy – hopefully we’ll get good news back tomorrow on the blood work. One thing that is very obvious is just how quickly people fall in love with him. From people in the street to our vet to pet store owners, everyone just melts when they meet him. He’s so gentle and loving you can’t help but be disarmed. We picked up a chew treat for him tonight. I tested him to see if he showed any aggression / fear while chomping down on it and there absolutely no reaction. In fact when I grabbed the treat he just started wagging his tail. Sora continues to amaze (he got through his treat faster than our Rottewiler Rio btw : ) Here’s a picture of him getting into it. If you knew our girl Ume, you may skip a heartbeat at the resemblance.
