Last weekend I managed to get my vintage Kodak Duaflex IV working. This is a cheap fixed focus (fixed everything) medium format camera that Kodak made midway through the 20th century. I only recently picked up the camera and this was my first roll of film with it – to be honest I’m surprised it even worked! Attached is a single pic below. This is shot on Tmax 100 BW film. The format is 620, which is basically 120 format rolled onto different spools. You can buy the film still over at B&H, or just get some medium format film and roll it yourself (which I intend to try in the future).
I’ll post more over the next week or so, and a mini review of this funky little box. In addition, I’ll also introduce a technique called “TTL” – a concept which this camera is gaining a reputation for amongst some photographers (TTL stands for Through The Lens photography – more on this later).
For now – here’s that shot.

Who’s to say what it is will break you?
I don’t know, which way the wind will blow”
