Project “Horizons” – an update
In a post in August, I introduced a photo series I have been working on called “Horizons”.
Well, it’s been a few months since then so I thought I’d give a quick update. If you recall, this is a style I quickly adopted after moving from the highly densely populated city of Singapore to the vast open spaces of Washington State. It’s still working out, although finding new and creative content proves to be biggest challenge as it’s the kind of project can quickly tire for both the photographer and viewer if things aren’t kept fresh. What’s fun is that it’s the kind of subject that I get to use all my equipment for, with each camera / lens combination bringing something slightly different to the mix. Anyway, I’m happy with how things are going – I’m up to about 30 images that I consider worth keeping. Below are a favourite few from the past few months.
You can view the entire series in my portfolio.

Father and Son. Shot with Olympus film equipment, scanned and worked in post.

Tree. Shot with Olympus film equipment in colour originally and converted to BW in post.
