Thanks for a nice review, some interesting images, and some intelligent writing. Your list / discussion of film imaging resonated with me. I've provided a link on my Blog to your review and quoted your listing.

I've been thinking some of these same thoughts , considering 4:3 digital cameras , and the heft and size of my Canon EOS 1V and I just want to do things a little differently. The ZI looks like an interesting choice.

Just a quick note of appreciation for your thorough review. Even though I don't shoot with a ZI, I do shoot with a pair of Hexar RFs and an OM-2n, and definitely get your sensibility vis-a-vis dSLRs. Thanks!

The Zeiss Ikon is a wonderfully easy-to-use camera. Its English user's manual is only 24 pages, and if you already know how to load and shoot any other film camera, you can skip it.Well i will keep looking around for more reviews.
