Every once in a while, I get a call from friends who are taking a plane up for a sunrise or sunset shoot. I usually get just 6 - 7 hours notice as it’s normally on a whim (and inspired by rare moments of good weather), but for the times i’ve made it, it’s always spectacular.
Anyway, yesterday I got the call and so on Wednesday after work, I picked up Akuri and we drove over to Boeing field to head out over to the most northwest point of N.America. Was a stunningly beautiful flight. We didn’t get terribly lucky with the light - only for a couple of minutes did the sun break thru - but it didn’t really matter. Being up in the clouds flying south along the pacific coast was an incredibly presence-invoking experience.
I took a few pictures - the last in near darkness at f0.95. Nothing too spectacular, but another great memory.
